Aaron graduated from Hampshire College in December of 2000 with a concentration in creative writing and cultural studies. Upon returning to his native Los Angeles to be a writer, Aaron was surprised to discover that sitting alone with a computer did not satisfy his appetite for collaboration. A self-professed magazine junkie, Aaron looked for work in Los Angeles’ magazine industry. Unfortunately, mags were folding and firing and barely hiring, so Aaron took matters into his own hands and conceived quench, a glossy, offbeat arts and culture magazine for intelligent young people. The premier issue rolled off the press in July of 2002.
These days Aaron’s time is split between heaving quench fully off the ground, writing, surfing, running, traveling and daydreaming. His short story, “Living with Water,” appeared in the January issue of the elite English surfing magazine, The Surfer’s Path.
