Freelance journalist David Finkle specializes in writing about the arts, focusing on books, theater, music, dance and movies. He writes a monthly book column for the Trenton Times, a Newhouse wire service paper. He contributes regularly to the Village Voice, Theatermania.com, where he is the senior drama critic, and Back Stage, where he writes a column on cabaret. He also writes or has written for the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the New York Post, the Daily News, the New Yorker, Time Out New York, the Nation, Newsday, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Mirabella, Publishers Weekly, Out, Psychology Today, the Saturday Review, American Theater and Theatregoer.
For many years Finkle was a member of the award-winning group, Weeden, Finkle and Fay, who performed in night clubs and cabarets and wrote, produced and appeared in more than 100 industrial shows for many Fortune 500 companies, including Fortune itself. Finkle lives in Manhattan, where he is working on a number of books, including one due out soon.
