Roger Ebert is attending his 133rd conference in a row, and does not know what he would do without it: "Here I have learned nearly everything I know, and contributed even more than that." Three years ago at the CWA he initiated the Boulder Pledge, in which users of email promise to never buy anything offered to them in spam. It has swept the world. Ebert is the Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic of the Chicago Sun-Times, syndicated to some 305 other papers in the US, Canada, England, Japan and Greece. He is co-host of the TV show Ebert & Roeper and the Movies. He teaches in the University of Chicago Fine Arts Program.
Author of 15 books, including the annual editions of Roger Ebert’s Movie Yearbook, I Hated Hated HATED this Movie, the Norton anthology “Roger Ebert’s Book of Film,” the best-selling Ebert’s Bigger Little Movie Glossary and “Questions for the movie Answer Man.” His annual shot-by-shot film analysis, dubbed Cinema Interruptus by the late Howard Higman, resulted in the commentary track for the DVD of "Dark City." Ebert's www.suntimes.com/ebert was voted Best Movie Review Website this year by the Online Film Critics' Society.
