A few years back, Paul Skokowski dared to dream his ultimate job description. After several years of managing Search at the world's most popular search engine, Yahoo!, he has finally been able to realize that dream. He has worked as a theoretical physicist at Livermore National Laboratory, directed a computing institute for the University of California and spent a year at Oxford University as McDonnell Pew Fellow in Philosophy. Skokowski has also been teaching philosophy and cognitive science at Stanford University for the past nine years. When not running, playing Lego with his son or cards with his daughter, he works on consciousness and writes children's stories. His most recent work in philosophy is on zombies and his most recent work for children is on dragons--or is it the other way around?
