Harvey Wasserman edits the NukeFree.org website and is author of Solartopia! Our Green-Powered Earth. In 1973, he helped coin the phrase "No Nukes" and ever since has fought the industry that's brought us Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and now Fukushima. He wants to convert the world to a Solartopian society that sings in harmony with our Mother Earth. With Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, and Graham Nash, he cofounded NukeFree.org, meant to stop atomic reactor loan guarantees and the $36 billion package currently irradiating the 2012 federal budget. Wasserman helped organize the legendary No Nukes/Musicians' United for Safe Energy Concerts in Madison Square Garden in 1979, and in 1994, he spoke to 350,000 semi-conscious rock fans at Woodstock 2.
Wasserman's dozen books include two histories of the United States, four on the art and science of election theft, and a book-length poem on the passing of his parents. As "Thomas Paine" he penned a felonious parody of America's hemp-growing Founders. He is a grateful veteran of 20 joyous Conferences on World Affairs, and firmly believes that Boulder should own its own electric utility.
