Bette Phimister

Bette Phimister is a deputy editor of The New England Journal of Medicine, where she handles research papers with a focus on genetics, genomics, and/or ophthalmology, and solicits commentary on the clinical implications of scientific research. She has written for the Journal and for Nature Genetics, of which she is a former editor-in-chief, on genomic technology, genetic testing, and genetic discrimination. She has lived in the south of England for much of her adult life.
