Futurist, author, and entrepreneur, Nancy Ramsey consults with the Global Business Network as a futurist and co-authored, with Pamela McCorduck, The Futures of Women: Scenarios for the 21st Century.
Ramsey is a popular speaker on a wide range of business and women’s issues and is currently consulting with e-memes, a San Francisco dotcom start-up. Ramsey is also President of Morning Star Imports, a small California-based company specializing in ethnic jewelry from the Middle East and North Africa. In 1984 she served as a Distinguished Resource Fellow at the Center for Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. Ramsey is the former Legislative Director to Senator John Kerry. In addition to directing the legislative staff, she advised the Senator on a number of issues including the federal budget, space, and education. She is on the Advisory Council of the Women of the West Museum and is a member of the Club of Rome. Her previous board service included the Women’s Campaign Fund, Philanthropy by Design, The Fund for Constitutional Government and the National Peace Academy Campaign. Ramsey has recently been featured in Fast Company magazine as a Futuristas well as Exame of Brazil and her article, “Thinking in the Future Tense,” appeared in Demos, a British Journal of politics and policy. Ramsey is a co-author of Nuclear Weapons Decision and she has also been a contributor to In the Public Interest.
