Each April since 1948, thinkers, speakers, and performers representing the widest range of backgrounds have gathered in Boulder for what The New York Times calls
“a week-long extravaganza of discussion and debate. The Conference on World Affairs hosts these 100 participants on a myriad of sessions over five days each year.
All events are free and open to the public.
Since 1959, many of the CWA’s notable speakers and sessions have been recorded, giving rise to an extraordinarily rich and varied audio archive. The Conference on World Affairs Archives project seeks your help in preserving the legacy of the CWA through the digitization of this extraordinary, historic audio collection.
There are approximately 80 hours of recordings currently featured on this site.
This represents only a fraction of the 8,000 hours of audio and video recordings that comprise the entire CWA archives collection, housed at the Archives at Norlin Library.
We are committed to digitally preserving these remarkable recordings before they are irretrievably lost, but we need your help. Please make a tax-deductable donation that will allow this vital project to continue.
