Canadian jazz pianist Adrean Farrugia has been playing, writing and thinking about music for 30 years. He began studying classical piano in his early teens, and in college and university he became enamored with the art of improvisation and North America's indigenous music—jazz. Since then he has appeared on more than 40 albums, garnering a JUNO (Canada's Grammy) award nomination for his sophomore release, Ricochet.

Farrugia has performed throughout North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and Israel with various groups and has served on the faculties of York University, Humber College and currently, Mohawk College of Arts and Technology in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
