Transportation is one of the most complicated logisitc pieces of the Conference on World Affairs week. Our student volunteers shuttle all 100 participants to and from the Denver International Airport, around the town of Boulder, and on the CU campus, while attendees of the CWA have to locate parking and plan transportation to and from campus each day. Thankfully our transportation partners make all of this possible, convenient, and affordable for our volunteers and our attendess by donating vehicles, offering free public transportation, and rental car discounts.
Fisher Honda Kia supports the CWA by donating vehicles for transportation to our volunteers for the 100 speakers during CWA week. Fisher Auto is an avid supporter of the Boulder community, and also supports University of Colorado's men and women's athletic teams through vehicle donation. The Fisher family is proud to be celebrating thir 49th anniversary in business. The facility is located on 9 acres and employs 115 people, many of their employees at 10, 15, 20, and 30 years with Fisher, allowing Fisher to continue to thrive and provide outstanding customer service. To help address the parking and transportation challenges during CWA week due to a high volume of attendees, GO Boulder provides free round-trip service on their HOP bus line between the 29th Street parking structure and the University Memorial Center during all CWA events. Since 1989, GO Boulder has been working to create an innovative and balanced transportation system to sustain the quality of life valued by Boulder residents, employees and visitors. GO Boulder creates and promotes great options for transportation to increase the travel choices available to our community. GO Boulder addresses the community's transportation needs for today and tomorrow by collaborating with regional partners like the CWA.
