Executive staff members regularly meet with administrators and serve as representatives on behalf of students to municipal and state government authorities. The Executive Branch is comprised of three Tri-Executives annually elected in the spring, and a full executive staff hired by the Tri-Executives and ratified by the Legislative Council. The duties of the Executive branch shall include but not be limited to:

  • Presentation of the student fee budget to the Board of Regents
  • Veto power of Legislative Council legislation
  • Introduction of measures to the legislative bodies
  • Appointment of a Financial Joint Board Chair
  • Appointment of Representative council members to the Joint Boards
  • Appointment of directors of all commissions
  • Executive Staff implements and executes the goals set forth by the Tri-Executives
