Position: Student Assistant I
Hourly pay rate: $10.50

The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History’s Education Section is looking for a responsible, self-directed student to assist the Senior Educator with two object-based school curriculum projects: Fossils in the Classroom and Colorado Archaeology in the Classroom. The Education Project Assistant will primarily be responsible for maintaining social media sites, sending out a monthly electronic newsletter and researching potential clients for kit distribution.


Responsibilities

Work with the Senior Educator to:

  • Host social media sites dedicated to the two projects.
  • Research, identify, and contact through email and telephone schools and districts throughout Colorado for delivery of kits.
  • Produce and distribute a monthly electronic newsletter to teachers using the kits.
  • Keep accurate records in the section database.
  • Assist with all aspects of the implementation of the kit projects including: ordering supplies, assembling kits, and following up with on-line evaluations.
  • Assist other departments and personnel in Museum as needed.
