The Cultural Unity and Engagement (CUE) Center is seeking mentors and mentees for CUE’s mentor program. The CUE mentor program is dedicated to strengthening the first year experience for historically underrepresented students at the University of Colorado Boulder. Through meaningful relationships, the goal is provide a sense of connection and improve the personal and academic success of first year students. Please read below for more information.

 

Mentor qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 & above
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior who has completed two successful semesters at CU Boulder
  • Positive attitude
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Genuine interest in the well-being of peers
  • Monthly one hour team meetings
  • Weekly mentor/mentee check-ins

Mentee qualifications

  • All first-year or transfer students are eligible to participate in the Peer Mentor Program, however, some students will be required to participate based upon their admission criteria. Otherwise, participation is voluntary.

  • Weekly mentor/mentee check-ins
