CU WizardsThis month’s presentation features waves that changed the way we communicate, starting from telegraph and radio, to satellite TV, computer networks and cell phones, are electromagnetic waves in the radio and optical frequency range. Learn about antennas, police radar, lasers and wireless. Help us explode things in microwave ovens (in a safe way), pop balloons with lasers and have a night-vision battle with remote controls. Led by Professors Zoya Popovic and Dana Anderson aka "Mr. and Mrs. Wizard!" The CU Wizards Program is an entertaining and informal introduction to astronomy, biology, chemistry and physics for science enthusiasts in fifth through ninth grades, but all ages are welcome to come learn, have fun, and experience science hands-on.

Join CU-Boulder for a celebration of 30 years of the CU Wizards, held directly after the Saturday May 19 presentation on the Duane Physics lawn (rain location inside Balch Fieldhouse). Meet with CU’s costumed mascot, Chip, and explore fun science presentations from Fiske Planetarium , the CU Museum of Natural History and the Science Discovery program.
