Spring has sprung on the Boulder campus, and that means planning for summer camps for K-12 students, and continuing contact programs for educators. The University of Colorado at Boulder offers many opportunities for learning and playing over the summer and application deadlines are around the corner. Please visit the CU4K12 web site to learn more about these activities and how you and your students can take advantage of these opportunities. Also visit the CU-Boulder summer camps web site, for more links to specific summer programs. This month's two featured programs provide a myriad of opportunities year-round, and have especially amazing summer programs - check them out!
Program for Teaching East Asia
Designed to enhance and expand teaching and learning about the region, the Program for Teaching East Asia (TEA) conducts national, regional, and state projects at the elementary and secondary school levels. The program offers various syllabi that focus on curriculum development, professional development for teachers, including an annual study tour of Japan or China.
TEA projects and services include The Colorado Consortium for Teaching East Asia, Teaching East Asia: China and Japan, It's Elementary, the Japanese Woodblock Print Collection, and the TEA Curriculum Resource Center. The resource center offers over 5,000 resource items, including various collections and artifacts from China and Japan.

Science Discovery brings science from CU-Boulder to you!
Science Discovery is an award-winning classroom outreach program that provides enriching science programs and assemblies to classrooms, libraries, and community centers throughout Colorado. The programs facilitate interactive study through audience participation and experiments featuring museum collections, live organisms, and science equipment.
Science Discovery offers the following programs for parents, kids and teachers. Each program's content and activities supplement existing curriculum and support Colorado Content Standards. They enrich learning by engaging students to see and touch the "real thing," developing their understanding first-hand.
