Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement was created to provide dedicated leadership for campus diversity. Diversity is the key to excellence in education. CU-Boulder is committed to enriching the lives of our students, faculty and staff by providing a campus climate of inclusion, knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the full range of human experience in order to foster a better society.

What We Do

  • Foster, develop, and support programs and policies related to increasing diversity on campus.
  • Encourage open communication about diversity and multicultural issues.
  • Monitor, evaluate and coordinate campus diversity efforts.
  • Build community among all CU students, faculty and staff.
  • Ensure equal access and opporunity for faculty and staff through the Department of Equal Opportunity.
