Technical Assistance

The SCSS project can provide technical assistance to all Colorado schools via telephone, email or limited on-site visits in order to help with their safe school planning efforts. This assistance includes, but is not limited to:

• Answering research and prevention questions
• Recommending evidenced-based programs and practices

Assisting schools with:
• Creating a Planning Team
• Creating a Crisis Planning Team
• Creating an Interagency Social Support Team (ISST)
• Improving School Safety plans
• Creating/improving Crisis Plans
• Creating Information Sharing Agreements
• Conducting Risk and Threat Assessments of students
• Conducting assessments of the school and student climate
