Some members of CU-Boulder's X-Hab team pose with their NASA mentors

This picture shows a subset of CU Boulder's X-Hab team together with the Kennedy Space Center Director, and NASA mentors. Their trip to The Kennedy Space Center was paired with participation in the RASC-AL competition where the group has won "1st place" and "Best Advanced Concepts" for their robotic-integrated bio-regenerative life-support system concept.

Swarm robots called "droplets"

CU-Boulder researchers are working to build a swarm of small robots that can work together to accomplish complex tasks. In the future, teams of intelligent robots could be deployed to tackle a number of challenging problems, from containing an oil spill to self-assembling into a piece of hardware after being launched into space.
