FAQ's for DepartmentsHow do I pay for printing at the Campus Printing Initiative sites? Departments who wish to use the Campus Printing Initiative facilities will need to acquire a departmental Buff OneCard. If you use a departmental Buff OneCard for your computer site printing, sales tax will be refunded to the department at the end of the fiscal year. You can also use your personal funds to purchase public patron cards at vend stations in the following locations: Norlin Library near the Copy Center, the Law Library copy room, and at the Imaging Services Copy Centers in the UMC or in Norlin. However, Imaging Services and the Campus Printing Initiative are not responsible for refunding sales tax to individuals who use their personal cards or public patron cards for departmental printing. So we strongly suggest acquiring departmental Buff OneCards. Can I get a departmental Buff OneCard on-line? No, but the Departmental Card Request Form can be printed from the Buff OneCard website. Completed forms can be faxed to the Campus Card Office for production. You can also order cards in person at the Campus Card Office, located at the Housing Information Desk in Room 182 Willard Hall. Once the cards have been produced it is necessary to have the cards picked up in person for reasons of security and accounting. How do I put money on the card? Once you have acquired a departmental Buff OneCard you can add value to it with an IN at the Buff OneCard Office or at any Imaging Services Copy Center. You can also add value to the card with your ACard at the Buff OneCard’s Online Card Office. Is there a quota of free prints for faculty, staff, or departments? No. Currently no quota of free prints exists for faculty, staff, or departmental printing. The free quota for students is funded through their computing fees and to extend the quota to faculty, staff, or departments would severely dilute the student quota. |
