Outreach Programming

CAPS helps strengthen the CU campus community by offering prevention education and programming. We work closely with residence halls and Residential Academic Programs (RAPS), student and academic affairs departments, and student groups to promote health and wellness. We hope that through our outreach services and commitment to social justice we can also help create a more inclusive and positive community where our students, staff, and faculty can improve their quality of life, better support each other, and thrive.

Programs include workshops, trainings, mental health screenings, participation in campus events, and topic focused interactive activities.

Some of our more frequently requested programs include:

Guidelines for requesting programs:

  • Please make requests at least two weeks in advance. It increases the likelihood that we will be able to accommodate your needs and preferences.
  • If possible, be sure to send us at least 2-3 options for time and date of the program.
  • In making your request, please be specific about the details of the program and what you hope you and your group will get out of it.
  • We are often able to adapt programs to meet the needs of your group (eg size, level of training, role at the university, academic affiliations). Please be specific about who we will be working with so that we can tailor programs appropriately.
  • While we try to meet all requests, we are not always available to do so during high volume times of the semester. We will do our best to meet your needs or refer you to other campus and community resources that may be able to help.
