How to Help a Friend

Dear CU Boulder Community,

Welcome to How to Help A Friend! This webpage is a safe place to consult if you are concerned about a friend. My name is Mifa. I am a senior majoring in Psychology. I am currently working as a Peer Educator with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). As a Peer Educator, we work on reaching out to the campus community. Reaching out to a friend in trouble isn’t always easy.  It may be difficult to figure out how to help or how to support a friend in need. I have tailored this website to offer valuable information and resources, as well as provide suggestions to support both you and your friend during these difficult times. Helping a friend is a universal experience—we have all been there and done it at some point—and I hope this resource will assist you and your friends on this journey.

Along with this website, How to Help a Friend is featured monthly on CU Today. Click here for the most current article.

If you have questions about resources, our online information, or just want to enjoy some tea and cookies, please join us for How To Help a Friend Get Together. I host this event every 3rd Monday of the month in the Foyer (near the information desk at the Norling Commons) of Norlin Library from 1:30 - 3:30 PM.

Sincerely,
Mifa Kim
