At CAPS, we’re here to help, which is why we’ve made getting started with us as quick and easy as possible.
To begin, you are welcome to access our walk-in services 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, no appointment necessary. Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete some initial paperwork on the computer that will help us understand your reason for visiting our office. (All records are kept confidential and separate from your student records.)
After paperwork is completed, you will have the opportunity to briefly meet with our walk-in counselor to discuss your concerns and what you hope to gain from counseling. The walk-in counselor may or may not become your permanent counselor, but will work with you to match you with the services that will best meet your needs (individual counseling, group, or other supports). You will walk out the door with a concrete next step.
We are located in the 4th floor of the Center for Community (C4C) building on the main campus of the University of Colorado. The building is located on Regent Drive, East of the Regent Administrative building and directly South of Hallet Hall. Parking is available for a fee directly in front of the building as well as across Regent. Several public transportation routes to our building are also available and can be reviewed at the CU Parking & Transportation Services site by clicking here.
