Welcome to your new fiscal role with CU Boulder!  

The information and links below are intended to prepare you for success in fulfilling your financial duties as you uphold the university’s mission. Whether you are a new or seasoned employee, once you have completed the required training and appropriate access forms, you will better understand your financial stewardship role, including proper management of the university’s financial assets, funds, and sponsors. 

CU-Boulder utilizes a comprehensive financial management system, which includes the following major components: 

  • The PeopleSoft General Ledger called the Finance System is the accounting system and the official system of record for all financial transactions, reporting and audits. 
  • The Procurement System is used for purchasing, accounts payable and travel transactions. It is housed within the Finance System.
  • The Human Resources System (HRMS) is used to manage positions, recruiting efforts, administer time collection, and process payroll.
