Did you know that the Academic Technology Consulting (ATC) team partners with faculty across campus in helping integrate academic technologies into their teaching, research and creative works?
How ATCs Partner with Faculty
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) ATC team supports faculty through one-on-one and small-group consultations; delivering workshops, demos and presentations; and collaborating on projects. Given Desire2Learn (D2L) is the campus’ new online learning environment, the ATCs are particularly focused on helping faculty leverage advanced D2L capabilities this semester.
Whether it’s D2L or one of CU-Boulder’s other teaching and learning tools the ATCs provide strategic support to faculty to help enhance teaching in a variety of ways:
Viktoriya Oliynyk: Viktoriya supports the College of Arts and Sciences, working alongside instructors to find innovative ways to use technology to achieve their teaching goals. She has strong knowledge of technology tools that can help instructors facilitate collaborative learning, provide feedback on student learning and implement comprehensive assessment activities. She also has expertise in how to leverage technology to transform large lecture classes into active, engaging and interactive learning experiences. Jacie Moriyama: Jacie supports the Leeds School of Business, where she works closely with faculty to incorporate technologies into business education. She also coordinates faculty development opportunities, including an iPad and Tablet Users Group and an all-day technology institute called CTRL+ALT+Leeds. In addition to supporting the Leeds faculty, Jacie collaborates with other colleagues to present at conferences. Most recently, Jacie co-presented “Not Just a Number: Student Centered Approach for Large Courses” at the Sloan-C Blended Learning Workshop.
