You can help save a life - donate blood

CU-Boulder's Staff Council office is sponsoring a blood drive on campus with Bonfils Blood Center, and students, faculty and staff are invited to donate blood. Schedule your appointment to donate blood on the CU-Boulder campus Nov. 12-15. Walk-ins are welcome or you can schedule a convenient time to donate blood. Schedule online: Visit Add reference site code 0248 when searching for donation location. Schedule by phone: Bonfils Appointment Center, 303-363-2300.

Dates and locations:

  • Nov. 12 & 14, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., UMC Room 380-386.
  • Nov. 13 & 15, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,  Recreation Center 2nd floor conference rooms.  Rec Center is currently under construction - the new entry is on the east side of the building - door to the main gym.

You might think that Bonfils has enough blood donor support to maintain the blood supply, but in fact, the need for blood is constant. Bonfils Blood Center needs thousands of blood donors each week to meet Colorado's needs and to be prepared for unexpected events. All blood types are needed and we welcome new blood donors to join the Bonfils family.

For phone questions, call Bonfils' Donor Relations department at 303-363-2202 or 800-365-0006, option 1.

Did you know there is another way you can save lives? Each year thousands of people are diagnosed with diseases like leukemia and lymphoma for which a stem cell or marrow transplant could be the only cure. About 70 percent of these people are unable to find a donor match within their family and must search for an unrelated donor on the Be The Match ® Registry. Join the registry through Bonfils' Colorado Marrow Donor Program. It's easy and saves lives.
