What you need to know about Ralphie’s Fourth of July celebration

Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast, held at CU’s Folsom Field, is the largest Fourth of July fireworks show in Boulder County. If you are planning to attend, here are a few things you should know:

  • Gates open at 8 p.m. A program begins at 8:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at approximately 9:40 p.m.
  • Normal stadium rules will apply. Please pack light. Prohibited items include: Bags larger than 12x12x12, hard-sided coolers, alcohol and non-factory-sealed beverages. For a full list of prohibited and permitted items visit the Folsom Field website.
  • Attendees will be subject to bag checks and wanding.
  • Free parking is available.

  • Please also note that the University of Colorado and Boulder police departments have a zero-tolerance policy for individuals lighting fireworks (with the exception of professional shows). It’s illegal to possess or explode fireworks within city limits and violators will be cited – or possibly arrested – depending on the offense. Anyone starting a fire while using fireworks could face additional arson charges.
