On Wednesday, Feb. 20 the Boulder-Nablus Sister City Project in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Center for Peace and Justice will be showing 5 Broken Cameras as a part of the on-going Palestinian Lives Films Series. The screening will take place at 7 p.m. in Duane  and be followed by a discussion.

The documentary—which has won awards in the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, has been nominated for an Academy Award, and has a 96% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes—profiles non-violent resistance of Bil’in, a village in the West Bank threatened by encroaching Israeli settlements. The documentary was filmed by Emad Burnat, a resident of Bil’in, and co-directed by Israeli filmmaker, Guy Davidi.
