Watch a directional boring and utility conduit pull near C4C

Pulling pipe

As part of the Campus Utility System project, crews are preparing to install utility lines in the corridor that runs from Cheyenne Arapaho on the west and Leeds School of Business on the east, just north of the Center for Community. The process consists of high-pressure directional boring followed by a utility conduit pull.

The first such "pull" occurs Monday, Nov. 19, from 7:30 a.m.—5 p.m. The event, which lasts approximately nine hours, provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to observe this construction technique. A safe viewing location will be set up near the north courtyard of the Regent Administrative Center.

A second pull is scheduled for early December; an exact date will be published in CU Boulder Today closer to the event. Please visit the project website for updates, along with general information, photos, and more.
