Violence in relationships can be unique among adults, ages 40+. Learn about relationship and dating violence and the unique factors that impact Gen Xers and Baby Boomers. Resources for help and additional information will be provided. Workshop meets Thursday, April 18, 2013, 12 - 1:30 p.m., UMC 247.

Presenter:
Anne Tapp has served as Executive Director at Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) since 1997. Prior to holding this position, she was the SPAN Shelter Program Director for six years and has an accomplished history of working in the nonviolence movement as an advocate, organizer, trainer, leader and administrator over the past 25 years. Anne sits on numerous local and statewide boards and task forces addressing domestic violence and related issues. She has served on the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence board and Child Advocacy Task Force, coordinated the development of cross-training curricula for domestic violence programs and Child Protective Services, and served as the representative for domestic violence victims and victim organizations on the Colorado Domestic Violence Offender Management Board from 2000-2007. Currently, Anne is Co-Chair of the Boulder County Elder Justice Coalition which addresses improved response to and prevention of abuse in later life.
