Rwandan Genocide survivor to speak at CU Sept. 12

Immaculee Ilibagiza will visit CU-Boulder on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. to speak about her experiences surviving the Rwandan Genocide and her tireless work to spread world peace. Admission to the talk in the Glenn Miller Ballroom is free.

Ilibagiza survived the 1994 Rwandan Genocide by spending 91 silent days hidden in the bathroom of a local pastor's house. Ilibagiza has been honored with numerous humanitarian awards including the Mahatma Gandhi Reconciliation and Peace Award in 2007.
