Regent Drive to close to through traffic March 22-30

Regent Drive will be closed to all through traffic March 22-30. The closure is necessary to accommodate major utilities work that requires excavation. By closing the road during Spring Break, the construction crew will be able to complete the project quicker and cause less overall disruption to campus. The road closure will be situated between the business field and Lot 420, which is just north of the basketball/volleyball practice facility. (See map.)

Campus buildings on the west end of Regent Drive (Fiske Planetarium, Leeds School of Business, Kittredge, Center for Community, Regent Administrative Center, Speech Language Hearing Sciences, Coors Event Center) will be accessed from Broadway. The Engineering Center, Police and Parking Services and Environmental Health and Safety buildings will be accessed from Colorado Avenue. Pedestrian access will be maintained during the closure just east of Regent Drive.

From March 31-April 18, Regent will be open to two-way traffic, but expect to see construction activity and flaggers. Please exercise caution in the area. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank all campus users for their patience during this project. RTD Route 209 (CU/Thunderbird) will be affected by the closure. Please check RTD’s Rider Alerts website (below) for information about route changes.
