Nothing in the creek

Nothing in the creek – is the stipulated requirement from state and federal agencies regarding permitted substances reaching waterways. The only substances permitted to reach Boulder Creek, or any other stream or wetland, is clean rain water or snow melt. All other substances are strictly prohibited and would subject the university to penalties and fines. Environmental Health and Safety at CU-Boulder is tasked with being sure everyone on campus does their part to prevent chemical wastes and other pollutants from being disposed into storm drains and sanitary sewer lines. Please contact EH&S at 303-492-6025 or email ehs@colorado.edu for information and advice about how to properly dispose of materials so they do not end up in our waterways.
