March is Women's Herstory Month

March is Women's Herstory Month. Women's stories matter! Among CU’s own stories are Mary Rippon, the first woman professor at CU, teaching math, French, German and English in 1878, and Lucile Berkeley Buchanan, who in 1918 became the first African American to graduate from the university. The Women’s Resource Center (UMC 416) is holding multiple events to celebrate Women’s Herstory Month, including a trivia championship on March 8, a Pi Day celebration of women in math and science on March 14, and a discussion on how women’s history is taught, also on March 14. To find out about events, visit our website, "Like Us" on Facebook, and check out our NEW Twitter account.
