Researchers from the Social and Affective Neuroscience lab at the University of Colorado Boulder are seeking healthy individuals between 18 and 55 years of age for a study on the psychological and physiological mechanisms underlying how one's personal values affect their medical care experience. Eligible participants would complete a 20-30 minute online questionnaire and a 2-hour session in our laboratory at the CU-Boulder Center for Innovation and Creativity located at 1777 Exposition Drive in Boulder (directions will be given).
In the lab, participants will take part in several simulated clinical interactions, some of which will involve pain (e.g., like touching a hot cup of coffee). We hope information gained in this study will help improve physician training and patient experiences. Participants will earn between $30-$40. If interested, please visit our website or contact the project coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
