Interested in using exercise to manage mood? FSAP counselors, Janeen Haller-Abernethy and Claire Chang, will facilitate an 8-week support group
utilizing walking and easy hiking to manage stress and overall mood as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression. Participants will experiment with various paces and styles of walking to identify impact on mood.
Group members will meet initially at the ARC building including a walk along Boulder Creek; subsequent walks will take place at CU’s Buff Ranch.
Sessions will be canceled or rescheduled in the event of severe weather including lightning, forecasted storms or weather events, extreme wind. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, wearing appropriate walking gear, using sunscreen and bringing hydration.
These are not weekly drop-in walks; registration for the session is required.
