The Cultural Events Board, Queer People of Color, and EyeResist present an Evening with Mondo Guerra from Project Runway on Sept. 20, 7-9 p.m. in the Old Main Auditorium. Guerra is a gay Latino fashion designer, orginally from Denver, who competed on the eigth season of Project Runway and more recently was the winner of Project Runway All Stars. During one of the challenges Mondo created a pair of pants with bright crosses. The crosses symbolized Mondo's HIV+ status that he had kept a secret for 10 years. He has done a lot to raise awareness and decrease the stigma of people living with HIV. Tickets for the free, public event will be given out at the door on a first come, first served basis.
