Boulder beer history

Celebrate Boulder's beer culture on Friday, June 21 with the CU-Boulder Alumni Association at this unique evening centered on the history of brewing beer in Boulder, starting in the late 1800s and ending with today's fantastic local breweries.

At the reception from 5:30 to 6 p.m., enjoy beer from local breweries including Twisted Pine, Fate, Upslope, Bootstrap Brewing and J. Wells Brewery and snack on appetizers. Then listen to a panel of CU alumni brewers. From 6:45-8 p.m. wander the Boulder History Museum's exhibit "Beer! Boulder's History on Tap," sample locally-brewed beer, delight in delicious food and ice cream from local food trucks and enjoy a demonstration of cooking with beer from Boulder's Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.

Your $15 admission price includes one free drink, admission to the museum and the panel discussion and a slice of pizza and Sweet Cow ice cream from the food trucks. A cash bar serving locally-brewed beer also will be available.
