CU Police Department shares crime alerts via Facebook, Twitter

CU Police Department Badge

The CU-Boulder Police Department recently launched Twitter and Facebook pages. These social media channels will serve as useful ways for students and employees to stay informed on crime issues for both the campus and surrounding areas, such as University Hill. While the campus is the third-safest among Pac-12 schools, it’s always wise to stay informed on campus safety concerns. The Police Department plans to share crime alerts, crime prevention tips, information on crime trends, pedestrian safety tips and more.

While these pages will be used on a frequent basis for these purposes, it is important to note that emergency notifications required under federal law will continue to be made via the CU Campus Alerts program. Students, faculty and staff can sign up for these text and e-mail notifications at alerts.colorado.edu.
