At the annual International Career Development Conference for Collegiate DECA, several Leeds School of Business travelled to Anaheim, California and competed in various business events. Five students represented the school in the competition; two of which earned the first place prize in Business Law.
DECA, a business club designed to bring college students together across the country, held the annual International Career Development Conference this past week April 17th-April 21st in Anaheim, California. The University of Colorado was represented by five Leeds School of Business students, Allison Lotter, Raina Burdick, Katie Hermosillo, Alex Tzeng, and Jeff Carroll.
Out of the three teams that competed, Alex Tzeng and Jeff Carroll placed 1st in Business Law and Allison Lotter and Raina Burdick placed top 10 in Entrepreneurship- Starting a Business. The students enjoyed competing against different schools from around the World and developing professional relationships in the business industry.
The 2014 International Career Development Conference will be held in Washington, DC where several of the competing students plan to participate again.
