A project to install a new campus utility system is currently focused on 18th & Colorado, where workers are boring two holes under 18th Street and installing utility pipes. The patience of the campus community is greatly appreciated during this temporary disruption. The construction is expected to be complete by approximately the first or second week of November.
Visitors to the area will notice construction activity from Wardenburg Health Center north toward Colorado Avenue. The road is open to vehicle traffic during the day, but closed at night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The road is open to pedestrians and bikes at all times. Please expect delays and exercise caution when traveling through the area.

This construction method is an alternative to open trenching, which may have required an extended road closure. The purpose of the work is to allow for new chilled water lines to reach the Power House.
