We’d like to think that every day at CU-Boulder is campus sustainability day, but tomorrow it’s official: The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) celebrates Campus Sustainability Day on Oct. 24.
The Environmental Center, Campus Sustainability office, Facilities Management and other campus departments work continuously to make our campus one of the “greenest” in the country. Our sustainability initiatives range from an outstanding recycling program to the bike paths that crisscross campus, from water-bottle filling stations to the new ground-mounted solar panels currently sprouting on East Campus.
For AASHE Campus Sustainability Day, visit the Environmental Center’s website to calculate your carbon footprint: http://ecenter.colorado.edu/energy-climate/what-you-can-do/carbon-footprint.
