Campus construction update: Summer projects to wind down before fall semester

Construction at 18th

If you’ve been on campus this summer, you know that it’s been a very ambitious time for construction. Facilities Management is taking advantage of summer break to undertake a number of utilities and site upgrade projects that will help maintain a safe, functional environment. The next few weeks are especially crucial to our progress.

We’re working hard to complete construction at 18th & Colorado and expect to open the intersection before fall semester, if not sooner. Construction on the patio northeast of the UMC will wrap up in early August. The infrastructure projects at Norlin Quad and Duane Physics are scheduled to wrap up by fall semester, along with activity outside the Engineering Center and on the lawn at Regent Administrative Center. The renovated Kittredge residence complex will open for fall semester.

Expect to see continued construction activity at the Rec Center, Baker Hall, and Ekeley Sciences, as all three are undergoing substantial renovations. Construction in the parking lot at Leeds School of Business will be ongoing in phases throughout the end of the year.

For more information about these and other projects, please visit the Facilities Management "Cone Zone" website

We appreciate the patience of campus users during these temporary inconveniences. Please exercise caution in construction areas and follow detours and bike dismount zones. As always, our goal is to make this campus a spectacular place to learn, live, and work.
