ATLAS Speaker Series presents talks on wide range of technology-related topics

The ATLAS Speaker Series presents distinguished speakers who discuss a wide range of technology-related topics. This fall, topics include satellite imaging, entrepreneurship, digital publishing, virtual justice, gender issues, game design and more.

Talks are always free and open to the public. This semester, they are scheduled on Mondays, 4 p.m. in Cofrin Auditorium, room 100, ground floor, in the Roser ATLAS building on the CU-Boulder campus.

The series’ first official talk begins this Monday, Sept. 17 on Satellite Imaging of Earth presented by Walter Scott, founder and chief technology officer of DigitalGlobe, a global satellite image provider based in Longmont.

He will discuss the origins of DigitalGlobe, its operation of a three-satellite imaging constellation, plus the birth, growth and future of the industry.

All are welcome to attend. Because space is limited, please RSVP by emailing cutlas@colorado.edu. The ATLAS Speaker Series is made possible by a generous donation by Idit Harel Caperton and Anat Harel.
