ASSETT invites proposals from Arts & Sciences faculty, departments and programs for awards relating to the use of technology primarily for teaching and learning. The maximum award possible is $5000.
Faculty of any rank and GPTIs may apply. Unit chairs or directors must provide a brief supporting letter. Department proposals for equipment or software that may be used in teaching and learning are also welcome. For proposals involving renovation of physical space, please contact our office immediately for additional instructions. Proposals using outside vendors will have low priority if the work proposed could be done by students and faculty on campus. When justifying why you should be awarded these funds, please be sure to state why this request is not covered by course fees or other funding sources.
All funds must be used by June 1, 2014. Funds may not be used for research conference travel, course buyouts, faculty/staff salary support or projects wholly relating to graduate education.
Prior to submission, proposers may wish to contact ASSETT Teaching and Learning Consultant Amanda McAndrew at Amanda.McAndrew@colorado.edu
to discuss ideas or learn more about what is expected in a proposal. In addition, ASSETT’s Teaching and Learning Consultants will be available to provide personal help in preparing your proposal on Oct. 23 at ATLAS 229 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Complete the proposal submission form at the ASSETT website
by Oct. 30, 2013. Any questions about the form can be directed to Joyce Holliday, ASSETT program assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org
Proposals will be reviewed by a committee of department chairs representing each of the A&S divisions.
