Understanding environmental problems; identifying stakeholders; understanding core interests; procedural fairness; escalation control; justifying aspirations; negotiation/consensus building; administrative procedures limits of negotiations; public education/grassroots organization; general approaches to environmental policy; of general applicability to environmental problems.
Examines nonviolence as a strategy of social action. Focuses on ethics and dynamics of nonviolent action; racial and economic justice movements; civil disobedience; and conscientious objection to war.
