Understanding environmental problems; understanding core interests; communication and the limiting of misunderstandings making effective use of technical information public education/grassroots organization; of general applicability to environmental problems.


Designed to introduce students to the critical perspectives most often employed in qualitative media analysis: semiology, structuralism, Marxism, psychoanalitic criticism, sociological criticism, etc. Students work with texts from contemporary print and broadcast media.
