To generate and facilitate academic activities that promote an understanding related to humanities both within the department and across the humanities disciplines. The club mutually benefits the university community and the student group by promoting community involvement through exposure to various cultural experiences such as plays and concerts, as well as through the analyses and discussions of various works in the humanities discipline, such as literature, art, and philosophy.
The club meets once a week on Tuesday from 5-6 p.m. in Ketchum 231. In the individual meetings we bring in short stories, poetry, art, film, philosophy—really anything related to the liberal arts that interests us. Anyone can bring a topic for discussion, or just sit and listen. Involvement’s really up to you.
