Taking an Incomplete in a Humanities Course

To be eligible for an incomplete grade, college policy requires that:

• A student request the incomplete
• A student has satisfactorily completed a significant portion of the course, and
• A student has extenuating circumstances beyond her/his control that prevent the student from completing the course within the normal time frame

If a student’s situation does not conform to all of these criteria, the student is not eligible to receive an incomplete.

Please read the College of Art & Sciences policy on Incomplete grades:
http://www.colorado.edu/aac/incompleteagreement020408.pdf

If you think you need to take an incomplete grade in a class please discuss it with your instructor.  If your instructor agrees, he or she must pick up an Incomplete Contract from the Humanities Office for you both to sign.  Your instructor will give you a copy of the contract, keep a copy, and return the other copies to the Humanities Office.
