High Speed Scanning with the Cannon 5080c
Scanning with WYNN
- Click on "WYNN WIZARD 3.1 CLIENT" (icon looks like a star fish)

- When asked to sign on, click on downward arrow and scroll down to ALT TEXT.Then
click OK

- Make sure there are no existing open files, if so close them. Check to
ensure proper scanner selection by opening Scanner Selection on the Advanced
Menu.

- The Canon 5080C will be recognized as Unknown Twain using Canon DR-5080C
TWAIN.
- Go to settings and scroll down to scanning settings.

- Once in scanning settings, scroll down to scanning mode and adjust to large
butch.(express batch only allows one-sided scanning.)
- Insert chapter face up into scanner, make sure top of pages is going into
scanner.
- Click on SCAN ICON.

- WYNN will scan all the pages before doing the OCR. Once scan is completed
click on TURN PAGES OVER button once it appears.


- An error may be generated when the scanner runs out of pages. Select Scan
again and you will be prompted to Turn the pages over or Process the pages.
- Before step #9, take the scanned chapter on the top rack of scanner and
place in bottom rack of scanner. Make sure that the top of the page is going
into the scanner.

- Allow time for computer to process.

- Once compete, SAVE FILE as NAME OF BOOK and CHAPTER number (be specific).

- Then, click on close button on top of tool bar.
- For the next chapter repeat steps #4-14.
CHECKING YOUR WORK
- Open your file.
- Make sure the top of your page is #1.
- Use page down button and make sure your pages are in numerical order. (for
example, 1-10)
- Use Correct OCR on the Advanced menu to fix words WYNN did not recognize.
TROUBLE SHOOTING FOR PROCESSING
- Click OK.
- Save file (as name of book and chapter #)
- Then close the whole program.
- Re-open the program.
- Then click on PROCESS PAGES.
TROUBLE SHOOTING FOR SCANNING FILES
- Close out everything. (do not save chapter).
- Then rescan the chapter.
