The DR-5080C offers:

The Utility 5000 offers the fastest interface for the 5080c. Using the native utility, the 5080c can scan approximately 1 page per minute. The Utility 5000 does not contain an OCR program. Many people whose use this native utility, do their scanning and then have an OCR program such as OmniPage pro perform the recognition. The Utility 5000 offers several different formats for output of the scanned documents. When scanning to TIFF mode, each page scanned becomes a file. Some advantages of using the Utility 5000 scanning program include having scanning templates that set the mode automatically with barcodes. Also note that the Utility 5000 is the program that will scan the fastest. For more information about the native scanning utility refer to the document created by Gaier Dietrich of the California Community Colleges High Tech Training Center- Canon Manual.doc. This document will be linked from the ATHES web page.
